Value Statement

   Excellence and Integrity shall serve as the guiding principles in the development
and delivery of quality criminal justice training and educational programs for the
West Michigan Criminal Justice Training Consortium

Vision Statement

   The West Michigan Criminal Justice Training Consortium shall offer quality criminal justice training and educational programs needed to provide the highest standard of criminal justice services.

Mission Statement

   The West Michigan Criminal Justice Training Consortium shall provide leadership,
coordination, and delivery of quality and cost effective criminal justice training and
educational programs for the criminal justice professional to enhance the
knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to provide the highest standard of criminal
justice services to the people we serve.

Goals

1. Identify, by priority, training programs that will address the “must have”, “should have”, and “nice to have” knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for all strata of criminal justice personnel and agencies within the Consortium.

2. Develop a standardized training schedule to meet the identified training needs.

3. Identify and secure appropriate funding and resource allocation for implementation of the training needs.

4. Identify the feasibility of providing training and educational opportunities that would address the local corrections officers training requirements.

5. Develop the concept of tuition based training and educational programs that would address needs of the criminal justice civilian personnel.
